A Feast of Words & Wonders: Culinary Journey At Boche & Shakesbierre

It was the tranquil afternoon of August 10, 2024, when an oasis of mystery and indulgence was born in Boche & Shakesbierre“A Feast of Words & Wonders,” a Sufi-themed afternoon presented by thestyle.world where some of Bangalore’s most powerful influencers gathered for an exquisite immersive journey into the world of magic through the medium of Sufi, along with some modern gastronomy. The magnificent event was hosted and curated by Ms. Shrishti Jaiswal; Editor-in-Chief (theStyle.world).

A Sufi Dreamscape

As the influencers entered the venue, they also stepped into the soulful Sufi afternoon. Classy shades and delicate flower arrangements adorned the venue, along with a performance setup that injected relaxation in each individual, which made you want to get lost in the moment. It couldn’t have done better justice to this Sufi concept it had always had, where the old is stirred with the new, as it did with its own all-transformed interiors of the restaurant that felt like a magical abode, as if every corner was laden with thoughts from yore and poems of the times gone by.

A Fusion of Flavours

The table tasting was definitely the centrepiece of the event, according to Boche & Shakesbierre. An equally innovative and inspired menu. Chefs, culinary creations, design not meals but ‘experiences’—autonomous, self-containing plates that are orchestras of flavours, textures, and aromas. The new menu serves:

VEG STARTERS: Mexican Jalapeno Cheesy Buttons, Urulai Kaara Fry, Crispy Corn, Aam Ka Paneer Tikka, Leek & Mushroom Tarts, Dahi Ke Kebab, and Thai Crispy Chilli Vegetable. 

Non-vegetarian starters: Chicken German Meat Ball, Tawa Prawns Ghee Roast, Lucknow Galouti Kebab, Tawa Chicken Tazza, Dhaniya Tawa Chicken, and Fisherman’s Fritters. 

The MAIN COURSE veggies excuded were Paneer Palak Kofta, Thai Red Curry With Rice, and Vegetable Jalfrezi. 

MAIN COURSE NON-Veg: Chatti Alleppey Fish Curry With Rice, Thai Green Curry With Rice, Murgh Kalimirchi. 

INDIAN BREADS: Tandoori Roti, Laccha Paratha, and Tawa Coin Paratha.  

Equally bewitched were the desservants. The menu read Lemon Meringue Dome, Chocolate Ganache, Shakesbierre Brownie and Tres Leches all the way. Every spoon had travelled into Sufi culture’s soul and the sweetness and warmth lingered.

Overwhelmed with Sufi culture similar to the idea of neo-culinary movement, it offered theStyle.world and Boche & Shakesbierre some romantic yet something new, some homely yet something faraway. By afternoon, as the entire program was nearing its climax, guests started leaving the place, cherishing the beautiful moments and good food they tasted in their mouth and the good feeling that they were part of something really good.
