Further solidifying its foothold in the country, this store is, a British-based international personal care brand, has inaugurated a new Activist Workshop store in Bangalore. Situated within the esteemed Mall of Asia, this new store spans nearly 584 sq. ft., marking the city’s second full-fledged workshop store. With this addition, the brand’s presence in Bangalore reaches a total of 23 stores, with 19 of them being standalone outlets.
The activist workshop store embodies the brand’s ethos of sustainability through captivating mural design gracing the store’s walls. Centered on women’s success, the mural intricately weaves together doodles symbolizing Bangalore’s dynamic infrastructure and flourishing technology sector. A vibrant purple flower nestled amidst verdant greenery and playful bubbles infuses an element of whimsy, accentuating the city’s distinctive fusion of technological innovation, cultural richness, and natural beauty. This vibrant portrayal highlights Bangalore’s rich educational landscape and abundance of research centers, underscoring the city’s steadfast commitment to nurturing female empowerment through education and professional advancement.
The new store’s strategic location in the Mall of Asia, a premium shopping destination presents a lucrative opportunity to expand the brand’s presence in the region. With this launch, the store now boasts 200 regular stores nationwide, further strengthening its position as a leader in ethical beauty and social activism.

Speaking on the product ranges, she further adds, “In combating the summer heat, we offer a wide selection of Vitamin C-infused products tailored to suit all skin types. These formulations are enriched with Camu Camu berry extract, known as one of nature’s most abundant sources of Vitamin C, along with Bakuchiol and papaya extract. Our Hero product ‘Vitamin C Glow Revealing Serum’, with a remarkable 10% vitamin C concentration, tackles uneven pigmentation while delivering 24-hour hydration, making it a must-have for the summer season.”
The new Activist Workshop store further builds on its emphasis on sustainability and social change through other aspects. Its RRR (Return, Recycle, Repeat) approach, for instance, allows customers to easily recycle packaging from products by returning them to the store. The store, remaining true to the eco-friendly ethos, also has sustainable fixtures. From reclaimed wood and recycled plastics in the fixtures to the aluminium facade (a low-energy, endlessly recyclable material). Even the worktops are made from 100% recycled materials, keeping waste out of landfills. This commitment extends beyond the store walls – over 70% of packaging is fully recyclable.
Further, The Body Shop has established an activism hub, a gifting station, and a bestseller bay, ensuring an immersive experience for customers.
