Green Mantis Location and Ambience:

Located on the side streets of Khan Market, on the ground floor, stepping into Green Mantis silences the hustle and bustle of the market as soon as I enter. Small square frames decorate the wood-panelled walls on either side of the staircase, and vibrant fabrics line the seat’s walls after that. The love for green is quite obvious at first glance. Potted plants rise against the corners, upholstered wooden chairs and a sofa provide seating, and bright paintings inspired by nature stand out against the white brick wall. Of course, the visible green cricket pitch complements the cosy setting, and I simultaneously absorbed the zen all around me.

I began by ordering a drink: Green Mango Togarashi (you can also call it Aam Panna) with traditional Japanese Togarashi flakes (Shichimi flakes). The spicy Aam panna drink features an umami twist, giving the concoction a sweet, roasted, almost earthy flavour.

Passion Fruit Peach Mint:

When it comes to the food at Green Mantis, it is 70% vegan and 100% vegetarian. The USP of the Green Mantis is that every ingredient is bought locally. There are many Asian restaurants in Delhi, but almost none of them offer a vegetarian menu. That is why the Green Mantis wants to stand out as an exception. And the experience of having wonderful vegan and vegetarian food was simply amazing.
