London Fashion Week – Celebrates The Event’s 40th Anniversary

London Fashion Week, presented by 1664 Blanc, is a global showcase of talent that curates and amplifies excellence in creativity and culture. The 40th celebrations will celebrate London’s creative community and the city as a global cultural hub, as well as its role in nurturing emerging talent and the next generation of visionary creatives. The UK is a creative powerhouse for the world and 2024 is an opportunity to celebrate this

The digital platform for London Fashion Week is open to both industry insiders and international fashion enthusiasts, providing digital content from the designers, fostering collaboration, and uniting fashion, culture, and technology.

Everyone, including industry insiders and international fashion enthusiasts, can freely access the digital platform during London Fashion Week. It features digital content from the designers, facilitates collaboration, and unites fashion, culture, and technology.

London Fashion Week will take place on the following dates in 2024:

16th–20th February 2024

Find out the final London Fashion Week schedule for February 2024, which will commemorate the event’s 40th anniversary and run from Friday, February 16 to Tuesday, February 20. Men’s and women’swear designers are featured on the schedule; highlights include the renowned British luxury brand Burberry and BFC NEWGEN recipients. Other designers include 16Arlington, Ahluwalia, David Koma, Dilara Findikoglu, Dunhill, Emilia Wickstead, ERDEM, Eudon Choi, Fashion East, JW Anderson, KNWLS, Marques Almeida, Molly Goddard, Richard Quinn, Roksanda, Simone Rocha, and many more.

London Fashion Week 40 campaign launch and fly postering campaign

The BFC is activating across London in 51 key locations (such as Curtain Road, Holland Park, Ladbroke Grove, Old Street, and Tottenham Court Road) with fly postering featuring imagery from the BFC community and LFW40 messaging.

London Fashion Weeks Love Letter to London, written by Femi Koleoso (Ezra Collective),

London Fashion Weeks writes a “Love Letter to London” to celebrate London as a creative capital and the UK creative community. Written by a Mercury Prize Winner (2023). According to Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective, the campaign will launch on Valentine’s Day with a curated selection of media placements and a short film. The film will feature a reading of the letter by 13 VIPs and members of the BFC community (including Allan Mustafa, Bimini Bon Boulash, Clara Amfo, Foday Dumbuya, Grace Carter, Headie One, Kojey Radical, Kosar Ali, Mahalia, Saul Nash, Sebastian Croft, Tan France and Victor Kunda.)

London Fashion Week celebrates 40 years and opens the London Stock Exchange

The BFC in celebration of LFW40, will open the London Stock Exchange, acknowledging
the significant economic impact of the creative industries. London Fashion Week lights up London in celebration of its 40th anniversary. To celebrate and raise awareness of LFW40, some of London’s most iconic landmarks (including the Convent Garden, London Eye and Royal Opera House) will light up green on Thursday, February 15th, from 6 p.m.

BFC x Apple TV: The New Look Screening

The BFC has partnered with ATV+ to show an exclusive screening and UK premier of The New Look, a series about Coco Chanel and Christian Dior set against the backdrop of WWII.

SYKY and the British Fashion Council present ‘Worlds Collide’

The event will show pieces from KWK’s collection with digital counterparts, as well as new SYKY Collective work. BFC x Self-Portrait Lunar New Year.  The BFC, in collaboration with Han Chong of Self-Portrait, is hosting a Lunar New Year party to honor and celebrate British creativity.

Afternoon Tea at No. 10 to celebrate LFW 40

The BFC will host an afternoon tea at 10 Downing Street to close LFW and celebrate LFW 40. The event will provide an opportunity for direct engagement with senior politicians and officials. Government support and investment in NEWGEN and the LFW International Guest Programme are crucial to delivering growth, employment, and exports, as well as enhancing UK soft power and global prestige.

BFC NEWGEN 30 TOTE BAGS x HEATHROW AIRPORT

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of BFC NEWGEN, alumni Ahluwalia, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Giles Deacon, Halpern, Mary Katrantzou, and Roksanda have donated signature prints that have been reimagined into a limited edition collection of luxury tote bags. Throughout 2024, passengers will be able to purchase the tote bags across Heathrow Airport from shops including Case, Harrods, WHSmith, and World Duty Free. The commemorative tote bags were created in partnership with Bags of Ethics, and a donation from each bag goes directly to the BFC Foundation.

London Fashion Week  February 2024 includes 107 brands with 94 physical activations and 19 digital activations taking place on schedule.
