As for entertainment, Maya Manch has lined up brilliant acts this year to celebrate creativity and expression. The stage will be graced with dancers, open mics, soul-stirring poetry, musicians, comedians, performers that may not have a label yet, but definitely reshape gender on stage, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. Among the artists, Avril—more fondly known as Chutney Mary—stands out as a rapper and DJ whose experimental performances don’t conform to any one discipline. Chutney Mary is set to DJ and deliver a set as unique as she is, sharing the stage with two dazzling drag artists.

Festival goers can look forward to the Bangalore-based band, Purple Mints, who bring their mellow, chill style to covers of their favourite pop, punk, and rock classics. The Pink Divas, Bangalore’s beloved queer dance group, who will light up the stage with their electrifying performances set to popular item numbers. Deepak, an entrepreneur with a passion for dance, will captivate the audience with a solo performance, while Bangalore-based singer-songwriter Abby will enchant with a set of their multi-lingual originals.

For the first time, the Maya Manch will host India’s first queer musical, The Baaja Company. This original production promises to be a truly magical experience—a vibrant satire about a queer drama troupe navigating life, love, and creativity as they rehearse for their next big play.
