Section 377 is now History: LGBTQ Community Came Forward to Celebrate the Victory of Love in India

Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders and Queers in India faced many illegal and social disturbances from the society. They often faced rejection, failure and non-acceptance from their own family and communities. However, homosexuality is no more a crime in India nor a mental disorder or unnatural. After years of struggle, the supreme court of India has overruled its own decision and took down the section 377 in India. To take this celebration forward and in order to support the victory of love in India, fever nights organized a party for the LGBTQ Community at the Sutra Lounge, Lalit Ashok Bangalore.

Ferver nights, known for their amazing parties, venues and DJ’s, have been organizing gay parties since 10 years in Bangalore and with the eradication of 377, a lot of people in and around Bangalore came out in numbers to mark this celebration with immense joy and happiness. This consisted of lesbians, gays, transgenders, bisexuals and many straight people who wanted to express their love and solidarity. The mood was of an overwhelming celebration. Rainbow flags waved above the crowd, enthusiasm filled up the air and people danced in the tunes with their fellow beings. The crowd itself was just incredible and prejudices and inhibitions were left behind. This party exuded lots of love and message around which made their day a memorable one.
