Floral Council of India’s floral salute to Covid-19 warriors

The Flower Council of India has offered a floral salute to India’s Covid-19 warriors by the way of expressing their gratitude for their unstinted support. The Council stated that the warriors, ‘did not care for their comfort, relentlessly worked to save us from the deadly corona virus, risked their life and their family’s life to save Ours, worked 24×7 when we were in the comforts of our home during lockdown, faced the anger, the violence and the hatred, but they refused to bow down and stood their ground in the line of their duty. They are our selfless, dedicated and committed Corona Warriors.’

The Flower Council of India (FCI) salutes their spirit and presents #ChangingTheGloomToBlooms. FCI has come forward with the initiative of bringing the blooms back to the Garden City of Bangalore.

FCI will create floral installations at the following locations for public display from June 11 (Thursday) to June 13 Saturday: at Windsor Manor Circle by Ethereal Celebration Management, at Vidhansoudh by Baisakhi Ghosh, at Brigade Road by Avant Events and Zzeeh Productions Pvt Ltd, at Shivaji Nagar by Zzeeh Productions Pvt Ltd and Emaginations, at Frazer Town by Zzeeh Productions Pvt Ltd, at Jayanagar 4th Block Police Station by Prratha Weddings, at Whitefield Police Station by 9Yards Events, at Anil Kumble Circle by Shubhkamanaye, at Infantry Road –  Commissioner Of Police by Shubhkamanaye, at Town Hall by Sneha Florist and at the Minsk Square by Sneha Florist.

The initiative is supported by the members of South India Floriculture Association (SIFA), Growers of Karnataka, Karnataka Event Management Association (KEMA), India Florist Association (IFA), Horticulture department, Government of Karnataka, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Bangalore Flower Growers Association (BFGA), Cut Flower Growers of Karnataka & Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru City Police and Karnataka State Exotic Flower Grower & Sellers Association (KEFGSA)

The Council stated that the floriculture fraternity shares the enormous concerns of the floriculture sector, which is currently badly affected by the Corona virus crisis. “We are constantly monitoring conditions in our markets, where physical shops are being forces to shut down and frontiers are being closed, in order to see how we can make an effective contribution to support the sector with our communications around flowers and plants. We are exploring effective marketing campaigns which enable consumers to experience the effect of flowers and plants. We believe that some campaigns are so successful that that they are transformed from a campaign into part of a culture”, the council stated.
