Anil criticises actors for rising entourage fees

Anil Sharma recently addressed the challenges facing the film industry and the controversial issue of actors’ entourage fees. In his latest remarks, Sharma criticized the current trend of actors demanding high fees for their entourages, especially when their films are struggling to attract audiences. He noted that actors no longer hold the same draw as before, making it less likely for people to visit theaters solely to see them. Reflecting on the past, Sharma recalled how stars like Dharmendra could sell out tickets weeks in advance, a phenomenon rarely seen today. He highlighted that the audience now watches only a small fraction of films out of necessity, with the success of movies on OTT platforms often going unnoticed. Sharma also expressed concern about Gen Z actors focusing more on social media and earning through Instagram or advertisements rather than cinema, describing this shift as a “bitter truth” contributing to the industry’s decline. Latest and Trending Entertainment News, Celebrity News, Movie News, Breaking News | Entertainment – Times of India
