Actress Rashmika Mandanna has become a victim of cybercrime as a deepfake video of her went viral on the internet. The video shows a woman entering a lift with Rashmika’s face morphed onto hers using deepfake technology. Netizens have shown support for the actress and urged her to take legal action against the culprits. Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika’s co-star in the movie ‘Goodbye,’ also supports this advice and believes it is a strong case for legal action. Cyber laws can protect against such digital impersonation and misuse of images.
