The Emmy Awards is Back

Emmy’s, the night that we’ve all been waiting for, year after year, to get a glimpse at the best of the fashion industry’s creations is finally here! We, the Style.world’s team, are always keen to grasp all the fashion inspirations we can get and Emmy awards is one such event that has our curiosity.

This time’s award show was held on the 17th September 2018, at the MICROSOFT THEATER in Downtown Los Angeles, California, which was held to honor the best in U.S. prime time television programming. We were all geared up to take notes as to what trends are going to rock the show. If you’re as keen as we are, keep on reading to know which celeb had the paparazzi going non-compos mentis.

MILIE BOBBY BROWN

The beautiful Milie wore a cute off-shoulder dress with solid flower prints. The monochrome look was so muted yet eye-catching. Her minimalism never ceases to catch us in awe and that’s what we like the most. The makeup she wore was very natural, following the no-makeup makeup look. She was carrying a can inside her dress that gave her the oomph factor.

TRACEE ELLIS ROSS

In Valentino Haute Couture and Repossi

The older that Tracee gets, the better she looks, and how! She’s such a phenomenal woman that we just couldn’t get our eyes off of her. The bright pink she’s wearing is a very intrepid color, and it takes a lot of confidence to pull it off. But this woman creates magic every time she walks down the carpet. We can never get over the statement looks she’s been devising.

PENELOPE CRUZ

In Chanel Haute Couture

As if Penelope didn’t already look like an angel, she wore an outfit that gave us an insight into heaven. Our most favorite look of the night was her feather detailed haute couture. Can a person look more angelic than she did at the Emmy’s? The slight silver-grey hue in the outfit enhanced the whole look. She showed us how it’s important to balance your outfit and makeup. When your outfit is dull or light, you can wear a loud makeup to highlight the entire look.

EMILIA CLARKE

In Dior and Fernando Jorge

Oh, this sheer goddess! We are so lost in gazing at her outfit’s intricacy that we don’t have words to describe her beauty. After her role in Game of Thrones, she’s literally the icon for most young adults. The sheer lace on the top portion of her outfit is literally making us drool. She’s an extraordinary woman, not just in her series, but in reality, too.

MANDY MOORE

Is it just us or are you guys also sweating because of the plunging neckline? This well-fitted garment has a very subtle shimmer, making it look very appealing. Are you feeling some Kim Kardashian vibes here?

TARAJI P. HENSON

In Giambattista Valli Haute Couture

Taraji, you slay, girl! Her acting performance is not the only thing that impresses us, what a stunner she is, carrying around outfits that are legit #goals. Especially this haute couture is making us tear up. Oh, man! So many features in one outfit, we’re taking notes. It’s intriguing to see her in this mid-thigh dress with a cape, covered in extensive work.

RACHEL BROSNAHAN

In Oscar de la Rents Spring 2019 and Tiffany & Co.

A garment that has interesting draping and asymmetric neckline with one-side falling shoulder, this is definitely going to create a trend in the coming days. The different pleats and sleeves used in this maxi gown are so interesting that we really want to experiment with it. She’s kept her neck bare, highlighting her collarbone and focused the attention towards her statement earrings.

KERI RUSSELL

In Zuhair Murad Haute Couture and Stephen Webster

The last outfit on our list, but definitely one of the most striking outfits of the night. All the elements used in this garment are making us go crazy — the high neck, silver shimmer, different neckline, side slit, deep neck, feathers, full sleeves and sheer maxi skirt.
