This year, the hotel pays homage to one of the greatest cookbook authors Bengal has ever produced – Bela Dey, unique recipes from Smt. Renuka Devi Choudhurani from a Zamindar family in the early 1900s, Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s kitchen and beverages and dishes from iconic establishments of Kolkata.
The menu is one that has been researched for over months and painstakingly put together in an effort to revive old recipes, share nuggets from the culinary history and add some magic to the dining out experience, this pujo. Each day of the pujo from Maha Sashti to Bijoya Dashami has an interesting set menu the team has put together.
So come celebrate a culture, its rich tradition, through food that tells a story with beverage, desserts and dishes such as Rooh afza ghol, Paramounter Daber Shorbot, Hanser Dimer devil, Mourola Macher Peyaji, Mangsher Chop, Fish Orly, Aloo Phulkopir Shingara Aloo kabli, Biyebarir Chechra, Wazed Ali Shah’s Chicken Biryani, Rosogolla korma, Chottogramer Chechra, Gondhoraj Murgi, Kosha Kakra, Kalibarir Niramish Mutton, Tangrar Kimling Machurian, Golden Dragon Hakka noodles, Ladykeni, Potol Mishti, Nahoum’s cake pastry, Gur diye Chaler Payesh, Goja, Potoler mishti and much more more.
