What is Fashion Week?
A fashion week is an event in which the industry’s leading designers display their latest collections to buyers and the media via runway fashion shows. The most notable weeks take place in the world’s fashion capitals: London, Milan, Paris, and New York.

There will be  two types of shows: womenswear and menswear. In addition, each site has its own set of shows. As an example, most wedding displays take place in New York, while haute couture shows are often staged in Paris.

What happens during a fashion show?

A common fashion show starts late, with paparazzi shooting photos of celebrities sitting in the front row, including Emma Watson, Samantha Ronson, and Victoria Beckham. They will often be socialites, bloggers, and big-time editors present to see the expected trends.

Models will walk down the runway wearing a mean of 40 outfits. However, this varies by designer. In other circumstances, a designer may show much more or very little. Sometimes a famous face appears on the catwalk. Sometimes not. The most famous model, such as Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, or Cara Delevingne, is always the one to close the show.

An typical fashion show begins with a parade of looks, which continues with all of the models performing a strut and ends with the designer performing one final wave. On occasion, producers go a little more creative with their displays, such as showing a short art film before the concert or bringing in a surprise musical performance.
