BENGALURU, India – ISKCON Bangalore is pleased to announce the grand celebration of Janmashtami, the joyous festival marking the divine appearance of Lord Krishna. Apart from ISKCON Bangalore’s temples at Rajajinagar and Vasanthapura, this year’s festivities will also take place at the prestigious KTPO (Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation) venue in Whitefield, Bengaluru on the 7th and 8th of September.
Janmashtami is a time-honoured tradition where followers of Lord Krishna come together to commemorate His glorious birth and remember His teachings. ISKCON Bangalore, known for its commitment to spiritual and cultural enrichment, invites everyone to join this Ananda Mahotsava or the festival of joy and devotion to Sri Krishna.
A highlight of the Janmashtami celebrations this year will be the Sattvic Food Festival, where renowned restaurants will showcase their varieties of delectable cuisine. Joining the festivities will be esteemed participants such as Rameshwaram Cafe, Indian Sweet House, Sattvam Restaurant, Natraj Chole Bhature, and many others. Renowned Chefs and Food Entrepreneurs Shri Aditya Fatepuria and Shri Nimish Bhatia will be curating this initiative. Visitors and food enthusiasts will have the opportunity to relish a variety of Sattvic (pure vegetarian) delicacies prepared with love.
In addition to the Sattvic Food Festival, the event will feature captivating cultural performances at the Janmashtami Art, Music and Heritage Fest. Bhajan Samrat and Padma Shri Awardee Sri Anup Jalota will enthral the audience with his melodious musical performance.
