La Fleur conducted a hand-tied bouquet demonstration with Jo Moody on 8th May at Purple Turtles Indiranagar, Bangalore. ‘La Fleur is an IANNIM bouquets that brings Indian retailers an opportunity to purchase professionally crafted bouquets at supermarkets in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.

Jo Moody (who has over 15 years of experience in the horticultural industry) is running her own retail florist, teaching floristry at Hadlow College, as a consultant developing bouquets for major high street retailers, as a stylist working on photographic shoots, running workshops, demonstrating to fellow flower enthusiasts, designing & creating event flowers and working closely as a freelance florist with private clients to design & create their wedding flowers.

Jo Moody gave a brief talk on the hand bouquet tying techniques including how to select blooms, tips for caring for blooms and also gave the demonstration on how to create a hand-tied bouquet. She also shared information on the preparation of steam stripping leaves from below the tie point and also answered questions on how to create spiral arrangement, how to tie and finish bouquet before placing into a container, how to gift wrap, how to create a water bubble or how to wrap using tissue. After the demonstration of how to make a bow and bouquet, La Fleur gifted the audience a La Fleur bouquet and a card with details on how to take care of the flowers and also a recap on how to make a hand-tied bouquet.
