Unprofessionalism at its peak:

The staff’s level of indifference during my visit to the Layers clinic in Bengaluru completely shocked me. The visit was pre-planned, and the appointment was confirmed and re-confirmed multiple times through calls and WhatsApp messages regarding my appointment.

But the disaster started to unfold right from the moment I arrived at the clinic. As soon as I walked in, it was clear that professionalism was not a priority. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked basic courtesy, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Even though my appointment was confirmed prior, on arrival they said that I could not get through with the appointment on that day. My disappointment was turning to rage when they mentioned later on that I could get only the consultation, not the treatment. I couldn’t bear the fact that I was being put on hold for something that was costing me my quality time as well.

Lies and manipulation:

Furthermore, I came to realize that the clinic’s information was blatantly false and deceptive, shattering my trust. Promises made during consultations were not upheld, and instead, I was misled into believing unrealistic outcomes. It’s disheartening to see a clinic resort to such deceitful tactics, eroding the trust of their clients. Even though I was given two coupons worth 5000 INR as a PR courtesy, I was gorged out for a service that cost me more than what was required with an expenditure bill at the cost of my skin and professional life.

Denied Appointed Treatment:

The treat at the Layers Clinic has completely spoiled my face. . But the shocking part is that I was convinced to take this treatment—a skin-lightening treatment—instead of the one that I planned out with them in the beginning: laser hair removal treatment and a Hydra facial.

According to the doctor herself, they initially refused to treat me because the rooms were already full. However, after I demanded an explanation, they agreed to treat me to a room with some fumes. Once the treatment was almost half done, I was told that I would have my facial hair turn white along with redness on the skin. I was okay with the redness part, but to a person who has never even bleached her skin before, this was to be told during the consultation itself. It was mentioned to me after half the treatment that it would have left the color of my facial hair white as a wall.

A Disaster in Management:

To my surprise, they charged me 8500 INR for the treatment, which is 3999 INR posted online. I reprimanded them for all the disasters that happened with me through emails, and I asked for an apology from the doctor when they tried bribing me to keep the matter neutral.

To add insult to injury, the management of Layers Clinic in Bengaluru is nothing short of a disaster. No apology has been returned from the clinic, and I have been awaiting an answer for one month. Appointments were delayed without any explanation, and the overall organization seemed chaotic. It’s evident that there’s a severe lack of leadership and direction, resulting in a chaotic environment that does more harm than good.

Through my disappointing encounter at Layers Clinic Bengaluru, I’ve learned a valuable lesson that I’d like to share with fellow readers. It’s crucial to thoroughly research and vet any service provider, especially when it comes to matters as sensitive as skin treatments.
