In 2023, London Fashion Week will take place from 17th – 21st February, 10th – 12th June, and 15th – 19th September, showcasing both menswear and womenswear.
A week-long fashion event, London Fashion Week September 2022, took place between the 16th and 20th of September 2022. As part of the hybrid digital-physical schedule, catwalk shows, presentations, appointments, and events took place across London, and digital content was available at London fashion week.
About London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week is a preeminent event showcasing the latest collections from leading fashion designers and brands. It allows designers to showcase their creativity, artistry, imagination—and much more! LFW is a chance for everyone in the fashion industry—designers, journalists, and consumers alike—to come together and celebrate. The showcases are just one part of London Fashion Week: there are also many parties!
Digital content from designers is showcased on the Official Digital Hub of London Fashion Week, londonfashionweek.co.uk. It is open to industry professionals and global fashion consumers, featuring digital content from designers, fostering collaborations and bringing fashion, technology, and culture together.
Fashion industry professionals, celebrities, and influencers gather at the LFW parties to network, socialise, and celebrate the latest fashion trends. British Fashion Council Party, Vogue Party, and Fashion Awards after-parties are some of the most popular LFW parties. There are several prestigious venues where these events are held, such as private clubs, art galleries, and cultural institutions, which provide a stylish and sophisticated backdrop to these events.
One of the most anticipated events of London Fashion Week is the British Fashion Council Party, which is hosted by the British Fashion Council every year as part of the event. At the party, the biggest names in the fashion industry make an appearance and celebrate the achievements of the British fashion industry and the success it has achieved. With a diverse mix of fashion designers, models, celebrities, and industry professionals, the British Fashion Council Party is a perfect opportunity for attendees to network and make new connections.
The Vogue Party is another popular event hosted by the leading fashion magazine, Vogue. It is a celebration of fashion, style, and culture, with a guest list that includes the fashion industry elite, celebrities, and socialites. This event allows attendees to mingle, dance and enjoy the latest fashion trends in a lively and entertaining atmosphere.
The Fashion Awards after-party is held after the annual Fashion Awards ceremony, which recognises and honours the achievements of fashion designers, models, and industry professionals. The after-party provides a platform for the winners and attendees to celebrate their successes and continue the festivities in style. With a festive atmosphere, top-notch entertainment, and the latest fashion trends, the Fashion Awards after-party is a must-attend event for anyone passionate about fashion.
Events happening in LFW 2023
Numerous events are happening at London Fashion Week 2023, as February 17th – 21st will mark the first London Fashion Week of 2023. New year’s fashion week always kicks off in style. The original format of fashion weeks has returned, partly digital but primarily physical. Last season, trends were over the top, casts were star-studded, and fairytales were born.
Schedule Highlights
The London Fashion Week schedule will feature over 100 designers, including legacy brands like Burberry and Paul Costelloe. With so much exceptional talent on show, it can take a lot of work to narrow down when choosing which shows are must-sees. So we’ve compiled a list of some of the most intriguing spectacles to catch this season:
17 February
On Friday, over 30 physical events and shows will occur across the city. The season kicks off at 9 am with Paul Costelloe’s catwalk, followed by Bora Aksu’s world-building showcase, and a London College of Fashion (UAL) student-led runway presentation in the evening.
18 February
There are 26 events and shows across the city on this day of LFW. This year’s Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Winner, Richard Quinn, is expected to make his mark on the runway in the evening. In addition to the glamorous London label 16Arlington’s new womenswear collection, British designer Molly Goddard will present a colourful catwalk show in the afternoon.
19 September
We’ve got 15 more fashion events to look forward to this Sunday, from catwalk presentations and evening celebrations to morning shows. Princess-favorite Emilia Wickstead will show off her latest designs in one of the first walks of the day. The afternoon brings the runway debuts of two distinct and breathtaking fashion labels—ROKSANDA and Irish designer Simone Rocha.
20 September
Continuing on this theme, you can watch 15 shows over the course of the day. An immersive presentation will be held for LFW attendees by Canadian-British label Edeline Lee and London-based womenswear brand RIXO. The evening will conclude with a catwalk show by royal warrant holder Burberry.
21 September
The last day of Fashion Week includes only five shows, and designers who have already presented their collections in New York will probably leave town once the schedule is finished. At 10 am, three Ukrainian designers—FROLOV, KSENIASCHNAIDER, and PASKAL will take to the runway in a Fashion Week presentation.
