Founded by Abhishek Chandrashekar, Akash S and Kuldip Purohit the bike rental service Royal Brothers, was the first company with a bike rental license for Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. Headquartered in Bangalore, they recognised that the transport and mobility solutions was an unrecognised market and built a trusted solution for customers of all types for inter and intra city travel.
Their aim was to make travel simpler for locals and tourists within and around cities that have a reputation for busy roads and narrow streets. They booked their first fleet of five Royal Enfield’s with their first five customers in 2015 and through the years have expanded their fleet to over 2000 motorcycles across CCs and brands. At Royal Brothers, one is spoilt for choice, as they offer powerful engines, such as Triumph, Harley Davidson, and Royal Enfield motorcycles. Benelli, KTM, and Bajaj bikes for the adrenaline junkies while the scooter fans, can opt for the ever-reliable Honda Activa, as well as Suzuki Access Aprilia SR 150, and the Yamaha Fascino.
Abhishek Chandrashekar, CEO and Co-Founder, Royal Brothers was fresh out of college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, when he set his sights on doing something significant. His driving mantra in business was to keep the needs of the people first. In the early days of Royal Brothers, he focused on complete customer satisfaction and ensured that the motto behind the company would be to provide access to mobility to all and true to his word the customer service department was one of the first teams created. When in college, he headed the Manufacturing and Workshop Management at Ashwa Racing, an organisation of student automobile enthusiasts. He was part of the team that represented India at the annual competition hosted by FSAE, having built their own car with limited resources and unlimited potential. Continuing with his zeal to be unique and excel he looked at the larger issue of urban mobility for both inter and intra city. Under his leadership, the Royal Brothers fleet of motorcycles are now available in 43+ stores across 7 Indian states and 3 international cities. And they are still growing. Their target is to be the premier most biking rental service internationally by the end of 2020.

Humble and approachable, his strong belief in the law of karma has been the guiding principal in his personal and professional life. Their core belief that one can create a shared economy with the concept of ‘why buy when you can rent’ found a chord with the investor community early on. In 2019 angel investors invested in the primary and secondary investment rounds taking the company from a bootstrapped to a funded venture.
