new york fashion week 2024 is coming back!
After the shimmering colors and over-the-top glamour of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, the latest runway collections will return to the New York City area in February.
The February fashion week will be star-studded as designers showcase their fall/winter 2023 collections, including returning designers Willy Chavarria, Christian Siriano, Sergio Hudson, and Brandon Maxwell, as well as first-timers Bishme Cromartie, Jane Wade, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin, who will make his first off-Paris runway appearance this year. It’s scheduled in various locations across Paris, France.
Which celebrities are attending New York Fashion Week in 2024?
While the guest list for fashion week typically remains under wraps, celebrities of all kinds are likely to sit in the front row or two, including Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, among others. Travis Barker, Janet Jackson, Kim Kardashian, Angela Bassett, Lindsey Lohan, and others have previously made visits to the shows.
What is the goal of Fashion Week?
Historically, New York Fashion Week has been used to highlight designers’ products through conferences and catwalk displays for fashion journalists and store buyers.
Where is NYFW?
From 1993 to 2009, the events took place under white tents at Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan, until relocating to Lincoln Centre uptown in 2010. Starting in 2015, the events were held in Spring Studios downtown, and starting in 2024, RXR’s Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood will serve as the new center.

Many NYFW shows are invite-only, but there are options for getting a first experience with the latest designs.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America has previously aired runway shows on Runway360 in response to the pandemic, but the website was temporarily suspended in December. Some of the shows on the calendar are only available digitally, including activations from Herve Leger, Maisie Wilen, and Sho Konishi.
According to the New York Fashion Week website, there are numerous premium alternatives and packages available for on-location experiences, including backstage access and personal styling.
