Raveena Tandon, currently promoting her Disney+ Hotstar series ‘Karmma Calling,’ disclosed in a recent interview that she had been offered the lead role in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Darr’ during the 1990s but opted out of the project. Despite signing up for four films together, their collaborations faced numerous setbacks. One film was abandoned due to the director’s demise, while another halted due to costume-related dissatisfaction on her part. Even their joint project, ‘Zamana Deewana,’ encountered delays. Tandon specifically mentioned being offered Juhi Chawla’s role in ‘Darr,’ but certain scenes made her uncomfortable, prompting her to decline. Aishwarya Rai also turned down the role due to Miss World commitments. Additionally, Tandon humorously revealed that she was offered Rani Mukerji’s part in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,’ and Karan Johar still teases her about it. Ending on a light note, she expressed her willingness to participate in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
