Smith and Whistle Launches Winter Vineyard this Christmas

Sheraton Grand London Park Lane is set to celebrate the festive season in a sparkling fashion with the launch of its winter terrace. The Smith and Whistle Winter Vineyard in partnership with Pommery Champagne will be welcoming guests and visitors from 23rd November. The terrace will bring the magic of a winter vineyard to Mayfair, adorned with garlands of sparkling vines (made from real vines), snow topped berries and wine barrels dusted with snow. Set against a backdrop of twinkling lights that flow elegantly over the front of the hotel, the terrace will be the go-to spot for drinking and dining this Christmas.

The Winter Vineyard launches in partnership with Pommery Champagne, and Smith and Whistle is the only place in London that you can enjoy the new release Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs magnum for the ultimate luxury experience this Christmas. This stunning champagne has been made with premium grapes from French vineyards to produce the finest tasting fizz. The terrace will reflect the champagne itself, taking on colours found within the bottle of pale golds and tender green hints.

The Apanage Blanc de Blancs magnum is delicate, elegant and fresh. In addition to the magnum, the atmospheric and luxurious terrace will be serving a limited-edition menu of Champagne cocktails to toast the festive season with friends and loved ones! From Christmas parties, to cosy winter date nights, the Winter Vineyard has a tipple to suit all palettes:

  • Champagne Classicserved in a flute, a blend of Cognac with a brown sugar cube, Bitters and Pommery Apanage Blanc de Blancs

The bookable one hour tasting experiences will include food and drink on the terrace, followed by a relaxed yet informative session all about the champagne-making process, further tastings and an opportunity to learn more about the Champagne region and its unique culture.

Justin Pinchbeck, General Manager at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane comments: “We’ve worked with Pommery Champagne for many years, and bringing a Winter Vineyard to Mayfair in partnership with them this Christmas is really special. Our Smith & Whistle terrace is luxurious and sparkling, and the cocktails taste as wonderful as the terrace looks. We look forward to our guests and visitors creating special memories with us this festive season.”

James Smith, National Account Director for Pommery Champagne added: “It is such an exciting time for us to celebrate our Apanage Blanc de Blancs magnum, and working with the team at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane to bring it to London has been a fantastic experience. Seeing the colours and themes of our Champagne transformed to life on the Smith & Whistle Winter Vineyard terrace has been brilliant! The hotel is a perfect premium partner for us this Christmas.”
