As India gears up to celebrate its 77th Independence Day, the nation is in for a musical treat that promises to be both innovative and soul-stirring. The internationally acclaimed musician, composer, 3 times Grammy Award winner, and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Ricky Kej, is all set to unveil his epic rendition of the Indian National Anthem on this Independence Day. Collaborating with a 100 member iconic British Orchestra – Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Kej’s rendition promises to encapsulate the essence of India’s rich cultural diversity in a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary music.
Ricky on this collaboration said, “Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is an orchestra that I have collaborated with often. I got this idea that why not record the Indian National Anthem with a proper Symphony Orchestra? And went ahead with 100 musicians to record at Abbey Road Studios”.

“I created a version of the national anthem for COP 21 which is the Paris Climate Change conference that happened in 2015. I created a version of the national anthem which is dedicated to the forest and wildlife”, said Kej in a press conference held at The Leela Palace, Bangalore ahead of Independence Day.
