Tie – Dye Accents are Back With a Bang!
Tie- dye was a big hit when it came to the prints. Now, we see at the spring-summer 2019, designers using both bright colors and pastels with old fabric technique is setting new trends in an interesting ways.
Classics of tie-dye T-shirt in blue came in courtesy of Collina Strada and PacoRabanne. This trend was kick started this season again by Beyoncé when she wore it on holiday on the beach, and when Justin Bieber wore it to church, making it big again. Post which, it was directly seen making its way to the runway and making it big. Brands like Proenza Schouler, Stella McCartney, and Prada turned it into a catwalk trend and the high street has already started making copies. Prada elevated the famously hippy print by using it on feminine silhouettes such as A-line skirts, mini dresses etc.
Selfridges has been bought back into the trend in a big way by standout brand’s such as, Balmain, MSGM and Prada. The acid washed and bright tones has now transformed the tie-dye style from the hippy base. The tie-dye method is something very different than the other ones, because the outcome of the process is unknown. The tie-dye method caters to a very individualistic style.
