(YFLO Delhi) and NGMA (National Gallery of Modern Art) hosted the Young Achiever’s Awards 2024 in the historic Jaipur House, NGMA, India Gate, New Delhi, in honour of International Women’s Day.

The Young Achiever’s Awards this year are noteworthy because of YFLO Delhi’s partnership with NGMA ( National Gallery of Modern Art). The occasion has taken a significant step towards commemorating the extraordinary accomplishments of young Indian women and has taken on a new meaning by emphasising the value of identifying and rewarding brilliance.

Every year, YFLO Delhi hosts the Young Achiever’s Awards, an occasion that honours the exceptional achievements of young Indian women under 45 in a variety of industries, including sports, media, design, politics, the visual and performing arts, business entrepreneurship, community service, literature, film, and fashion.

 

Great Women at YFLO:

Mira Kapoor, Adwaita Nayyar, CEO of Nykaa, Mallika Dua, Indian comedian and actress Arundhati Katju, Baljeet Kaur, the icon of law and equal rights, Avarna Jain, vice chairman of Saregama India, Aarti Shah, Para Athlete, Radha Goneka, Ruma Devi, Alina Alam, and many others were among the notable awardees this year.

A Heritage Textile Walk honouring the ageless artistry of Ajrakh, organised by Nitya Bajaj and presented under the Nitya Bajaj brand, added flair to the occasion. Ajrakh, renowned for its elaborate designs and cultural importance, perfectly captures the spirit of their history. Every item exhibits Nitya Bajaj‘s commitment to maintaining this trade, skillfully fusing modernism with tradition.

Ms. Shivani Verma performed a Kathak Ballet piece on #BecauseSheCan after a brilliant display of cultural activities. The idea behind it was to emphasise “Shakti as a source of power for all creations. Shakti is Shiva, Shakti is the Feminine Divine and Shakti is every woman.” 

In honour of International Women’s Day and Mahashivratri, the concert included the distinctive performing arts group “I Rise.” Four different kinds of Indian percussion instruments are used in the composition. Prominent individuals from the FLO & YFLO, such as former presidents and GB members, graced the occasion. YFLO Delhi Chairs from the past are among the distinguished guests. In addition, the following current members of the YFLO Delhi committee will be in attendance to support the success of the evening and celebrate the accomplishments of the awardees: Payal Kanodia, Varda Taneja, Tania Nijwahan, Neha Joshi Jain, Aishwarya Bansal, Neha Gupta, Pankhuri Mukim Nandy, Aaradhana Dalmia, Neeha Nagpal, Sana Bector, Kaveri Garg, Surbhhi K Modi, Saumya Lohia Agarwal, Stuti Gupta, Rajnni J Jain, Rashi Anand, Rashi Jain, and Niyati Bhandari.

YFLO has made significant progress in the last year in its mission to empower women and develop meaningful projects. One of their most noteworthy achievements is the wildly popular #BecauseSheCan Podcast series, which highlighted the empowerment of digital women. It received over 9 million impressions and 1.3 million views on more than 15 platforms and in more than 13 countries, demonstrating its enormous effect and reach. In addition, the nonprofit initiative “Because She Can” won numerous awards at the 2024 Anthem Awards in New York.

Given that it was chosen from over 2000 entries from 44 countries, this honour is very noteworthy and highlights the outstanding impact and significance of the work. Additionally, 200 impoverished women have greatly benefited from the upskilling efforts of the “Because She Can Centre of Excellence,” which was established in partnership with FLO. In addition, we have demonstrated our dedication to social responsibility and community involvement through programmes like the employment of over 390 women nationally and community welfare efforts including blood donation drives, tree planting drives, and child assistance programmes.

Insightful educational workshops with prestigious organizations like Google and Harvard Business School, as well as cultural events like the Van Gogh 360 art display, have improved their year of events. YFLO Delhi’s mission of empowering women and fostering inclusive growth has been furthered this year through a rich and impactful year of interactions with government officials, celebrities like Twinkle Khanna and Kalki Kochlin, and collaborations with organisations like Lakshyam NGO for #BecauseFashionIsForAPurpose.
