Sailing Through Flavours: Nautilus Bar Takes Over Copitas At Four Seasons Bengaluru

The stage was set for a cocktail journey steeped in Jakarta’s historic spice trade at Copitas in the Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru. The Nautilus Bar from Four Seasons Jakarta, known for its mixological brilliance, brought the golden age of seafaring to life in a one-night-only take-over led by Bar Manager Julian Brigget and the talented Bagus.

A well-thought-out cocktail menu, thus paying homage to the deep traditions of spices in Indonesia in an old-fashioned way but with a modern twist. The evening was one of history, creativity, and flavors which pushed the guests into the 16th century where it is said that gold was less valuable than spices.

The Stars Behind the Bar- Copitas

There was Julian Brigget, the award-winning mixologist of the Tastemakers, steering Copitas that propelled Nautilus into the T+L Top 10 Bars in Indonesia 2023, along with Bagus whose artistry turned each cocktail into a masterpiece. They transformed Copitas into a chest filled with spice-infused drinks.

Spice Route-Inspired Cocktails

The glittering cocktail menu was an ode to the country’s prestige spices:

Lada: A strong mix where pepper tries to capture the bold fiery spirit of spices in Indonesia.

Red Pearl: Another master cocktail led by pepper, toasted aromatic depth, complexity.

Honey Me: A warm comforting mix wherein cinnamon comes replete with sweet inviting notes.

Koko Pala: A tribute to nutmeg, this one is an Indonesian export, giving every sip earthy richness.

All cocktails were indeed sensory experiences that made customers travel back in the spice islands of yore.
