The Bengaluru Comic Con Wrapped Up On Sunday With Promises To Come Back Next Year The coolest celebration of the year, the Bengaluru Comic Con presented the best of the world of comics and comic book characters over two days for all its fans. The 8th edition of Bengaluru Comic-Con presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Lenovo brought to the city, a real version of pop culture experience with thousands of TV, movies and comic books. The two-day extravaganza was rich with International guests, photo booths, thrilling experiential zones from the world’s leading studios, merchandise shopping and the biggest Cosplay Contest in the city. Comic-Con India is where you can get ‘India’s Greatest Pop Culture Experience’ delivering its signature #bestweekendoftheyear to more than 1.2 million visitors over the past nine years across the nation. With the slogan of ‘Engage, Explore and Experience’, Comic-Con India presents the best of comics, books, film & television, merchandise and gaming at shows across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. The first day saw some amazing performances and personalities including popular international artists from the comic fraternity – Amenokitarou (A.K. Wirru), Warwick Johnson Cadwell, the artist behind Samurai Jack and Tank Girl, web comic creator Adam Ellis, CK6 and standup comedian Sundeep Rao. The American Publishing Company Simon & Schuster launched the exclusive cover of Kevin Missal’s Raavanputr Meghnath and Sufi Comics made a comeback with its latest volume of debut graphic novel. The amazing event also presented some experiential zones including Warner Bros India zone, Legion by Lenovo Gaming Arena, Bausch & Lomb zone, Doritos zone, and the Kingfisher Radler zone. The Bengaluru Comic-Con also introduced two brand new formats this year to bring out the best cosplayer in the city with the Indian Championship of Cosplay and daily prize pool of INR 2 lakhs. With the Maruti Suzuki Area S-Presso Zone, the second day of Bengaluru witnessed some amazing performances by India’s leading Mentalist/Mind Reader Narpath Raman, American Illustrator Adam Ellis and Bengaluru’s very own standup-comedian Sanjay Manktala. The most celebrated event of the year also witnessed exciting merchandise from exhibitors such as Planet Superheroes, The Souled Store, and Rohit Kailashiya won the grand prize worth INR 50,000 as the ICC Qualifier in Cosplay Contest. Jatin Varma, Founder, Comic Con India stated, “Today, witnessing the success of this convention in India, I feel I have accomplished in creating this as a mecca for the Indian pop culture and comic book fans. We promise to be back next year in Bengaluru with a grand celebration.” The popular, annual, two-day extravaganza wrapped up on Sunday, making unlimited memories and promising an even more bigger Comic-Con in 2020.
