Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly the most talked about actress in Bollywood. For the last two years, she has also been making a mark in the West as well. Kendall Jenner, Deepika Padukone and Anna Wintour were spotted at the same fundraising dinner. Deepika flew to New York just for a night and, she not only grabbed all the limelight at the New York airport for her chic-edgy all black suit, but she was also applauded for the much bigger purpose she achieved at the Youth Anxiety Center, New York. Deepika has been very vocal about her anxiety and depression even in the past. The subject of mental health has not always been taken seriously in India, which evidently is changing. To be an actress, and talking about her story, she is not only inspiring the guests at the Youth Anxiety Center but also all of us! Vogue editor-in-chief and Artistic Director for Condé Nast, Anna Wintour was present at the dinner along with Tory Burch, Vera Wang. Deepika also launched Live Laugh Love, a non-profit based out of India creating awareness and encouraging positive steps towards mental illness. “I think America has progressed in many ways; there are a lot more awareness and a lot less stigma as compared to India, where the problem is further compounded by a lack of resources,” she said.
