5 Things You Should Remember About The London Fashion Week 2018!

5 Things You Should Remember About The London Fashion Week 2018! LONDON FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2018 When? 14TH September 2018 to 18th September 2018 Where? BFC Show Space How Often Does LONDON FASHION WEEK happen? Twice a year. Read on to know everything you want to know about London fashion week 2018. VICTORIA BECKHAM’S COMEBACK Much to every fashion enthusiast’s delight, Victoria Beckham decided to celebrate her brands 10th anniversary as a debutant at the London Fashion Week 2018.  Changing things up from her usual Sunday morning catwalk at the New York Fashion Week, this time around, she chose a gallery in Dover-street to showcase her collection. The ramp saw some of the high flyers from the industry with model Stella Tenant opening the show followed by the likes of Edie Campbell and Liya Kebede but the Beckham princess Harper stole the show as graced the front row with the rest of Beckham clan. CHUBBY CLOUD Anya Hindmarch installed the “world’s largest beanbag” in the main room of the banqueting hall, a neoclassical 17th-century building designed by Inigo Jones. The beanbag was installed as a visual representation of her Chubby Collection of Bags. The highlight of the event was when fashion model Poppy Delevingne took to center stage to read bedtime stories. The installation was accompanied by a pop-up café and shop which sold a range of products from cushions to marshmallows. WOMEN WITH ZERO BULLSHIT British fashion designer Gareth Pugh takes you back to 1980s with his unabashed expression of ‘uncompromising, anarchic and fiercely confrontational’ collection. His collection was majorly inspired by the society’s outcasts and he describes his collection as a “demolition silhouette – structured on top and collapsing into chaos.” The collection was a majority of black fabrics, leopard print, electric blue accents which did justice to his idea of taking pristine objects and crushing them to identify their beauty. BIGGER BOLDER AND BETTER Ashley Williams had her models walk the ramp with the pale pink hair do’s. twist and go topknots in bold yellow bobs and skyrocketing sterling was a stick-up statement. This season was a season of breakthrough trends another version of this was the bold infusions of inorganic color, leading the bandwagon was Matty Boven’s cadre of over-dyed coifs. Hairstylist Jon Reyman decided to go rebel this season with his collective coloring and Micol Ragni explored the two-toned trend in a completely new dimension. THE FUR BAN Bowing to the rule implemented by the British Fashion Council (BFC) in early September, London took great pride in hosting its glamorous fashion week where all the 80 design participants were bound to the use of faux fur in their designs. This 100% fur-free event highlighted a trend that saw innumerable brands using alternatives to fur initiating their support to Animal – friendly organisations like PETA. One such brand is Burberry, which had implemented a fur-free policy at the LFW 2018 whose creative director believed that fur was incompatible with modern luxury and the environment of our living world.

Chanel’s Beach Set | Paris Fashion Week

Chanel’s Beach Set | Paris Fashion Week

Chanel’s Beach Set | Paris Fashion Week Chanel’s Paris Fashion Week Show is one of the most-talked-about events on the fashion calendar. Why? Because, aside from being one of the biggest French houses, Karl Lagerfeld always takes his runways one step further with his breathtaking sets—and spring/summer ’19 was no exception. Karl Lagerfeld ensured that summer stuck around a bit longer. This time, a beach was recreated that included an ocean with gentle waves, blue sky, wooden docks, and lifeguards. And also it was a cheeky stroke of humour to have former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson settled into the front row, along with Pharrell Williams- house ambassador of Chanel. The models sprung up and paraded along the beach. Luna Bijl opened the show wearing an emblematic look of collection and also with two bags crossing on each hip for a new way of being worn. The beach theme went on to include straw hats with wide brims, a bag shaped like a beach ball and carried their shoes in their hands. However, Chanel did not forget its signature style. Models wore colorful tweed skirt-suits and some carried several handbags at once and then the iconic logo and accessories. Much of which will appeal most of 80 s Chanel. The ambit/palette was dominated by pastels. The message was that Chanel can be part of an easygoing lifestyle. This was a pretty Chanel collection, mostly because of simplicity. It was very light and not edgy. In simple, Chanel is known for pushing things forward but with a classic twist. Collection:

Paris Fashion week 2018: The Most Awaited Week

Paris Fashion week 2018: The Most Awaited Week

Paris Fashion Week 2018: The Most Awaited Week Paris, ‘THE CITY OF LOVE’ is not only known for its beauty, but it is also famous for its most happening event –  ‘The PARIS FASHION WEEK’. It is a part of the global ‘Big 4’ fashion weeks, the others being ‘LONDON FASHION WEEK’, ‘MILAN FASHION WEEK’ AND ‘NEW YORK FASHION WEEK’. The schedule begins with New York and ends in Paris. The Paris Fashion Week 2018 started from 24th September to 2nd October. DIOR AND GUCCI GRABBED THE SPOTLIGHT ON 24TH SEPTEMBER PWF: As expected the fame of spotlight was grabbed by Dior and Gucci on the very first day of PARIS FASHION WEEK. Dior was no less than any theatrical event. The house enlisted the talents of choreographer Sharon Eyal for a sublime and balletic contemporary dance performance throughout the show. The program was held in Famed Long-champs Racecourse which is a very popular old 19th-century place. The stage was set up with white petals, giving more beauty to the famous face models like Blake, Shailene and many more. All the famous face of Hollywood were captured in the event of Dior. Blake, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Benoist, Jackie Aina and much more at the Paris Fashion Week Women’s-wear spring/summer collection. The collection was infused with Diaphanous, tulle-rich gowns. The eye-catching event by Gucci that happened in the Studio 54, The Iconic Le Palace that inaugurated in 1978 by Grace Jones. The opportunity to show in the legendary space wasn’t worthless by superlatively designer Alessandro Michele. The famous celebs like Salma Hayek and Jared Leto joined many more stars at Gucci’s Paris Show. Salma Hayek Pinault, Jared Leto, Faye Dunaway, David Furnish and many more walked through the ramp presenting the beautiful and attractive spring/summer collection by Gucci. Salma Hayek leads the best dressed at Gucci. While on the one side Dior and Gucci were heating up the floor, the very another side the week was getting hotter with ready to wear street style collections. The shoot went on 24th September at the Paris Fashion Week and was captured by Adam Katz Sinding for W magazine. SAINT LAURENT FIRED THE EIFFEL TOWER WITH WATER WALK: Like before, Saint Laurent got up with ready-to-wear collection under the spotlight of the Eiffel Tower. Why to go for fake palm trees or an infinity pool to let the top models walk on it. All the models are beautifully presenting the collection by Saint Laurent, by walking gracefully on water when the Eiffel Tower blooms. The photo taken by Ambra Vernuccio for W magazines. Kaia Gerber, Abbey lee karshaw, Anja Rubik, Binx Walton, and many tops more all dressed in Saint Laurent which meant western-inspired tuxedos, pants and definitely plenty of mini dresses. Celebrity models just got lit: While everything was going so with lights and glamour, the young 20 year old model Bella Hadid just fired the way with her gorgeous pink gown as she stepped out for the night. On the other top side, the sexy Emily Ratajkowski shows off her abs while at the Paco Rabanne show as part of the Paris Fashion Week for spring/summer collection at Le Grand Palais. Also in attendance at the show were the gorgeous Haim sisters – Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim. In the city of love, the lovebirds Keira Knightley & Husband James Righton walk on the carpet in the opening season of the Paris Opera Ballet Gala on Thursday. The event was held during Paris Fashion Week. Keira is wearing a Chanel Couture Dress. While all the designers grabbed the western mane, there comes Manish Arora whose designs were demonstrated by many top models as spring/summer collection. PSG Players Presented During Paris Fashion Week: Hedi Slimane got our expectations: While everybody was surprised by the top collection of Dior, Gucci, and Saint Laurent, Celine also got up with our expectation. Hedi Slimane’s Celine just showed up really amazing and marvelous collection. Slimane staples like tiny mini-dresses, motorcycle jackets, and skinny pants. And, of course, black. Lots and lots of black, the only reprieve found in a single red sequin dress and a few metallic threw in for good measure. A picture from the Celine runaway of Paris Fashion Week spring/summer collection. The photography is done by Mich Cardin for W magazine. Nevertheless look and age matters: Paris Fashion Week is not all about fashion but ranging from fashion to make-up and best hair. How can we forget when it’s about Paris, Loreal needs to be there. So no doubt Loreal already can be considered as a fashion week highlight. The fashion show was marked by 60m long way of Paris’ Seine river presenting 70 different hair and makeup looks. The fashion show’s cast which ranged from a post-pregnancy Eva Longoria to 20-year-old actress Elle Fanning. Eva Longoria walks the runway during Le Defile Loreal Paris as part of Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer collection. Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau also joined the glaze of female cast on the Seine river. Well she proved that age is just a number. Yes! Kaia Gerber the 17 year old model walks in the Valentino during the show of Paris Fashion Week women wear spring/summer collection. Never off to walk no matter of age: Before getting our eyes on her in Hollywood, she got the fame in modelling. MacDowell started her career in the late 1970s as a model for many brands like Calvin Klien, Yves Saint Laurent and many more. After years she came back to the runway with Elie Saab Gown, smiling and waving as she walked in. She came back at her 60 s and shocked the ramp. Her charming look will never fade away. Started from New York it carried till Paris and will never come to an end. The fashion goes on increasing and it will bring something new every next time. Koskii Tower – The Latest Hub for Brides & Her Bridesmaids

Koskii Tower – The Latest Hub for Brides & Her Bridesmaids

Koskii Tower – The Latest Hub for Brides & Her Bridesmaids We attended the grand opening of Koskii Tower in Kamraj Road on the 29th of September at 12:00 pm which started with the sound of trumpets and drums at the entrance. The tower is called a walk-in wardrobe as it has three floors filled with exclusive bridal and occasion wear. Koskii has a versatile collection of bridal and party wear clothes in all color schemes, consisting of bridal and party wear sarees in silk and Georgette, party wear and bridal ghagras, party wear gowns, party wear shararas and salwar kameez suits. The price ranges from 1,700 to 2,00,000 rupees. A specialty of this brand is that they customize the clothes as per the needs of their customers. Most of the embroidery is done by hand. Some dresses have real zircone, swarovski, zardosi and pearls. We interviewed the chief executive officer, Umar. Here’s what he had to say: What inspired the team of Koskii to open the largest walk in wardrobe? The fact that people go to Mumbai or Hyderabad to shop for their wedding outfits was our inspiration. We wanted to have something huge in Bangalore that not just people from India, but also people from all over the world would come to. There are two branches of Koskii in the same lane, will that not be bad for business? For retail stores, the location is the most important thing to decide. As I’ve seen in London, two branches of a same store do exist in the same street so no, this wouldn’t be bad for business. How have you attracted the customers for this opening? We’ve posted ads across social media and some top newspapers. We have also invited a lot of people, as we have above 60000+ customers. How many branches of Koskii are there in India? Currently we are available in Bangalore only. There are 8 branches here. But we are working on opening branches in Hyderabad and Chennai soon. The inauguration of the store was followed by a fashion show of some original designs of Koskii which was categorized into light colored casual pre-wedding dresses, heavy bridal wear and formal post-wedding dresses. Ava Safai, Christlyn Shobhan, Jhanvi, Priyanka Diwan, Harita Shah walked for the show which was organized by Image Tarasha with jewelry by Aquamarine and hair and makeup was done by Bhavani Kumar. Spicy Sangria

Spicy Sangria

Spicy Sangria THE LAVISH EXHIBIT Shopping for an event? Wedding? Engagement? Bridesmaid? Mehendi Ceremony? Sangeeth? Birthday party? Fancy brunch? Dinner date? Meeting your boyfriend’s family for the first time? Or you might be someone like us who don’t need an occasion to shop. For all of your excuses to shop, Spicy Sangria Events had the brands to provide. They hosted a lavish exhibit at Shangri La on this 21st of September where so many budding designers had displayed. As soon as we entered, all we could think of was where the scrumptious smell was coming from. But we couldn’t spot the stall as there was so much crowd around it. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes and that’s when we could finally see what laid ahead of us — Isn’t the picture enough to make you wonder how well they must’ve tasted! Before we could kick-start our shopping trail, we stuffed ourselves with some good delicacies. This stall was by the best confectionery artist ever, Pooja Bajaj. We couldn’t stop adoring how dedicated she was to her work. She was busy from the time we entered till we left. When we entered the ballroom, there were so many stalls that our heads were literally spinning. But as we started walking, we noticed how different each stall was from each other, yet so similar. There were certain stalls we could skip through as they had garments we’ve already seen before. But there were quite a few stalls that stood out from the rest of the exhibition. ‘Fancy Pants – The Store’ has become a go-to place for western outfits for most young girl’s. Their team sources garments that are meant to peek everyone’s interest. By now the ballroom was filled and it was literally getting impossible to move around. But, we couldn’t end our exploration in the middle, so we quickly analysed each store and kept moving forward. That’s when we found Aapro, the most fun stall at the event. They had fusion-wears which were a combination of sarees and dhotis, western garments with Indian prints, sarees that can be worn as a dress and many more. Then we stumbled upon Essemm, the stall that customizes clutches and footwear for brides. These guys are the ones you need if you’re a bride-to-be. After our marathon around the massive ballroom of Shangri La, we picked up some delicacies from Pooja to get back home and relish. While we were heading back home, we saw the beautiful décor at Shangri LA’s entrance. We found out that it’s their 3rd anniversary in Bengaluru. Hence, we’d like to congratulate them on making it so far. Their standards have never let any anyone down, rather they always surprise you with unexpected services. The Italian capital of fashion as always showcased craftsmanship and simplistic aesthetics that’s true to the region and much more! The brand Missoni also celebrated its 65th year,  which is a milestone in its own. The street style at the events of the Milan fashion week was also noted worthy with the exaggerated puffs incorporated in a casual yet not so casual prints with tasteful mix and chunky eye-catching boots and accessories! We will start the tour of the ss19 collections from Milan right now! Max Mara The line up showcased the earth goddesses donning the role of a working woman of this era, who is chic, stylish, comfortable and functional. That too with unconventional detailing and pairing! Fendi Fendi’s ss19 collection could be described as a deep routed collection in neutral shades that are heavily influenced by utilitarian clothes but tastefully delivered in a baroque touch. Alberta Ferretti Another collection that derives it’s inspiration from the utilitarian grounds was Alberta Ferretti. The collection sported looks with casual clean t-shirts and airy tops combined with combat-inspired pants and oversize jackets with functional pockets. The colors were toned down and complimented the weaved footwear. Travelers take a note! Could be a good option to take cues from these looks for your next travel in style ventures. Mochino Jeremy Scott presented a ‘sketchy’ collection where the garments had a scribbled print depicting fashion sketches in color. The ramps were decked with life-sized design, tools and scissor-inspired gown! Versace Versace is known to bring back retired models on to the runway time and again. This time, it was Shalom Harlow, who had already said her farewell to the runway, making a comeback. The collection had a good variation featuring both light and structured pieces that were unified with preppy colors and pop-inspired prints. Etro The brand which got everyone talking at MFW was Etro, which celebrated it’s 50th anniversary this spring. Surf-wear is having a swell time at the fashion weeks of ss19, and it is proved by yet another label that is known for it’s Paisley prints. The lineup had an amazing splash of bright colors that were coherently put together in the tropical and indie-inspired prints. International surf stars Victoria Vergara and Maribel Koucke were also a part in the showcase. While big names such as Prada, Ferragamo, and Dolce went for the old-school image of their respective brands for the ss19 line up in Milan, there were several other lesser known brands that stole our hearts! Here are some looks from the lesser known brands that charmed us: First row: Tod Second row: Misoni, Lorenzo serafini, Ermanno scervino Third row: Genny
