French Street Food at its best

“Le Casse-Croute”, a single food-truck driving all around Bangalore serving a small selection of toasted sandwiches and French fries, is now Paris Panini. When Nicolas Grossemy started missing his French street food back home, he started experimenting at home with local ingredients and soon started Le Casse-Croute with the idea of bringing fresh, quality and affordable French food to Bangalore. With the boom and bust of food trucks, he decided to call it a day and after meeting fellow restaurateurs Nikhil and AB of The Pizza Bakery, started serving gourmet quality food using fresh ingredients. The place is cozy yet chic, airy and vibrant, with the Eiffel Tower wallpaper at the far end, adding a Parisian touch. The menu has 10 vegetarian and non-vegetarian panini (toasted sandwiches). Those paninis are made of a bread that is daily baked inhouse. Very soft inside, and with a small crust outside which comes while toasting the bread. All their sauces are prepared inhouse too, from raw ingredients, fresh vegetables, fresh basil leaves to make pesto, egg yolk for mayonnaise, raw potato to make double cooked French fries or homemade French style mashed potato. They also serve an authentic ratatouille, onion rings made with inhouse breadcrumbs, caramel cream, and a live crepe station for fresh, delicious crispy crepes! Try their in-house drink which is comparable to the famous Ricard or Pastis in France (without alcohol), or wash all the freshly baked panini dough down with fresh juices, gourmet coffee and teas. You get the vibes of sitting in a Parisian café, when you’re here. Nicolas Grossemy says, “For me interacting with people is one of the keys of the personal success, it makes you stronger listening to other’s ideas and it opens your mind meeting people from different backgrounds. Then it became like an obsession to start my restaurant or something in the food industry. I had this passion for cooking for very long time and I actually became addicted meeting new people and seeing people’s smiles after a meal. This satisfaction excited me and excite me every day while working. That’s something I could not live without so after finishing my studies I decided to start this startup called Le Casse-Croûte (now Paris Panini), to introduce Homemade & Fresh French food to Bangaloreans!” Where: Paris Panini, 12th Main Indiranagar, Bangalore.
